“We hate feeling like we’re getting sold a bill of goods.”
-Mason & Jenni / Gilbert Residents
Mason & Jenni’s Story
We moved to Gilbert about 11 years ago. We love the close-knit community feel we have.
Our community has played a big role in decisions we‘ve made for our home. Neighbor recommendations are highly important to us. And so is supporting local business.
When we started to shop for solar, we looked far and wide. We didn’t want to work with a large faceless company with zero relationship. Large chains are a revolving door. Employees and managers aren’t invested. And we hate feeling like we’re getting sold a bill of goods.
We like to support local businesses over national chains. We nearly always try to stick with local family-owned companies with strong reputations, because we feel like they care the most about providing a quality experience. That’s why we chose Citrus.
They provided us with a good system at a fair price. And they even recommended a smaller system than we thought we might need.
We just feel like we are more likely to be able to count on good service from smaller local companies with good, solid reputations. The fact that it is supporting our community is a side-bonus.

“It is nice to know which businesses are part of and contribute to the community.”
-Darl & Kaye / Chandler Residents
Darl & Kaye’s story
We call Chandler home. Last year we started to consider solar as a way to help hedge against future energy rate increases. Energy costs in terms of gas and electricity have both increased. It is out of control.
A few companies we spoke with were all the same. They were overpriced and pressured me to buy. Citrus did not try to sell us on anything, but rather wanted to help us reduce costs. They were more of an advocate for us. We soon realized we didn’t need what the other solar companies quoted.
The quoting process was easy and straightforward. I got a quote online and reserved it. I don’t like talking to salespeople, so I loved the online experience. It was installed within a couple weeks.
The crew was very thoughtful and walked me through where they were going to run the conduit and electrical boxes. The best part is that everything was hidden. I have to look at my house everyday (so do my neighbors), so it’s important that it looks good.
We tend to choose local businesses over national ones in our daily shopping routine. It’s nice to know which businesses are part of and contribute to the community.

“No-hassle installation and easy-to-get quotes.”
-Robert & Karina / Gilbert Residents
Robert & Karina’s Story
We live in a quiet and friendly neighborhood in Gilbert. A few years ago, as we watched inflation grow and energy costs rise, we started to consider solar. We saw it as a way to get ahead of rising costs.
There are so many providers out there. It was important for us to shop local, so it was more convenient to get to know the business and the product. And we just felt a local company would understand our needs. That’s why we chose Citrus.
We don’t like door-to-door salespeople. Citrus Solar made getting a quote online easy. They analyzed our energy needs and provided a quote that was quick and worked with our setup.
They also didn’t sell us more than we needed. We got a good price. And they provided a no-hassle installation the next week..
